Meet the Teacher: Michael Luetjen

Welcome to Meet the Teacher – CodeMonkey’s blog segment where teachers from all over the world share their experiences on what it’s like being an educator. Today’s post features Michael Luetjen who is a Technology Instructor at Donna Klein Jewish Academy in Boca Raton, Florida.

“In 1995, I was fortunate enough to be given an opportunity to be a long term substitute teacher in Connecticut. From the very moment when I had my first interaction with a student and their possibilities for success, I knew this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my career, to be the catalyst in young people’s lives and build on the potential for their learning and my teaching. It is most important to me that my students live with integrity, compassion and empathy.

Most of my Professional Development has occurred as a Connected Educator. Connections and collaborations with other educators and professionals allows for a growth mindset and lead to the global classroom. The opportunity to share and learn with others from any location has brought us all closer together. Connected Education is the future, and present, of education”.
